“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.” John Dewey.
In the senior phase, grades 7 to 9, we believe in giving every learner an opportunity to discover, grow and achieve their maximum potential in a safe, stimulating and holistic environment by focusing on the development of learners’ emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically as they progress between phases.
The Senior Phase follows the General Education and Training Certificate Curriculum and is the most variant of all the phases. In addition to those, each learner studies an Eastern language of their choice from Gujarati, Tamil and Hindi, as well as weekly Computer classes where they complete the KNET Curriculum. Learner Support Classes are provided to our learners requiring additional academic support. By the end of their Grade 9 year, learners would have selected their subjects for the FET Phase and these Senior Phase subjects are the foundation for learners’ career paths as it assists with the correct subject choices.
Furthermore, to help our learners make the most informed choices, we offer Online Career Guidance which provides individual, specific and comprehensive career guidance by embracing the learner’s skills, interests and personality characteristics. This is a life-long online tool.
We believe that every learner has the potential to be a leader and that is why every Grade 7 learner partakes as a mentor in our “Mentorship Programme”. Through our various programmes, we teach skills such as collaboration, communication, innovation and problem solving as well as the values of care, commitment, confidence and courage.
Our Hindu ethos creates a sound value-base and this, together with our educators who are motivated by their passion for education, our superb facilities and excellent resources makes our school the ideal place for a child to develop.
Learners may also partake in the many co-curricular activities we offer:
- STEM/STEAM education- an integrated learning system of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.
- Usage of LEGO through different learning styles within the school curriculum.

However, when all is said and done, nothing indicates the success of the work done in the Senior Phase better than the smiles on the faces of our learners and the laughter and happiness that abounds in the classrooms, on the corridors and on the playground.
